Maintenance
Management Information System (MMISTM)
The EAGLE Maintenance Management Information
System (MMISTM) is the proven tool for Performance Based Logistics
(PBL). Presently in use in PBL contracts in the United States
and Australia, MMIS provides a real world solution for managing
repair activities.
MMIS provides the process visibility
and data transparency that today’s PBL customers demand.
With easy, yet secure, access to data over the internet, all
customer personnel can access equipment status, repair status,
and generate reports with nothing other than a browser. Imagine
not only from PCs in the office but from, PDAs, and web enabled
cell phones from the field! Data can be entered and retrieved
over the internet, and reports are generated from live, current
data.

MMIS provides the repair/logistics activity with the data necessary
to successfully and profitably execute a Performance Based Logistics
contract. Extensive links to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
and Complete Asset Visibility Systems (CAVS) assure timely notification
of customer equipment needs and reduces the data entry tasks
that can overwhelm a PBL contract.

MMIS can even provide automatic notification
of status changes via cell phone, pager or email.
Notification levels can be tailored
to meet individual contract requirements.
MMIS has over eighty distinct facilities providing reporting
and data maintenance capabilities through internet access. These
capabilities are grouped into 12 categories based on functional
areas. The Products Features page presents these capabilities.
MMIS is based on the Oracle database system, which is renowned
for its rock-solid security and stability. The Oracle platform
enables MMIS to handle millions of items and transactions. It
also provides for simultaneous multi-user access and conflict
resolution that is second to none.
The MMIS design is an extension of the proven EAGLE open architecture
design. This robust flexible design concept has been proven
effective and flexible in years of application on PBL contracts.
Open architecture is all about the customer, as custom reports
and data pulls can be developed to satisfy a project's unique
needs.

Enhanced Automated
Graphical Logistics Environment (EAGLE) -
EAGLE presents a complete logistics solution, from building
logistics data and maintaining existing databases to providing
reports, technical manuals, and other post-production support.
EAGLE is an enhanced integrated logistics
support software system. Its LSAR (Logistic Support Analysis
Record) relational database (based on and fully compatible with
MIL-STD-1388-2B, MIL-PRF-49506 or DEF STAN 00-60) provides a
complete logistics architecture. EAGLE goes beyond the specifications
by adding engineering drawings, technical manuals, video support,
and other functions. Current 1388-2A, 1388-2B, 00-60 Issue 1,
00-60 Issue 3 and 00-60 Issue 4 databases can easily be migrated
to the EAGLE structure.
EAGLE speeds complex, time-consuming logistics tasks by enabling
users to navigate the logistics database by discipline (Provisioning,
Task Analysis, Support Equipment, and so on), and focus on specific
functions within each discipline (provisioning an item, creating
a task, assigning support equipment). It guides users through
each function step-by-step, so that functional-area data can
be swiftly entered and retrieved.
|
EAGLE uses the Microsoft® Windows® operating system
to provide a simple user interface. Buttons and menus make most
functions accessible with the click of a mouse, and data windows
make entering data easy. Help screens are provided for each
function, and for the database structure.
EAGLE is a trademark of Raytheon Company. Microsoft and Windows
are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.

The ASENT toolkit
provides a competitive edge for joint
ventures and collaborative design efforts.
ASENT is a comprehensive modular set of software
tools used for reliability, maintainability, and testability
analysis. Because ASENT uses graphics extensively, part types,
assemblies, printed wiring boards, and more all have uniquely
recognizable images. ASENT’s graphics enable design analysis
teams and managers to communicate more easily and effectively,
allowing them to make design impacting decisions in real time.
Using ASENT is intuitive because it employs the familiar Windows®
Explorer graphical user interface. Features such as drag-and-drop
are common throughout ASENT, allowing entire branches of assemblies
and thousands of parts to be quickly copied or moved. No other
R&M toolkit delivers this much versatility and ease of use. |
ASENT is coupled with Microsoft’s® SQL Server®
to deliver more database horsepower than other R&M tools
on the market. The client/server architecture was specifically
designed to handle reams of program data, and allow multiple
users concurrent access to the same project data. Analyses can
be performed in parallel, even when teammates are geographically
dispersed, and designers can retrieve information immediately
after it is entered. ASENT eliminates the hassle of transferring
files and combining data and ensures you are always working
with the current design. In addition to offering extensive report
formats and a user-defined reporting capability, ASENT’s
open architecture allows you to quickly create customized reports.

The AIMSS authoring
tool set puts all the technical information
you need to maintain complex systems at your fingertips.
The Advanced Integrated Maintenance Support
System (AIMSS) is an interactive electronic technical manual
(IETM) authoring tool set. AIMSS uses state-of-the-art object
database technology that enables you to generate, display, store,
retrieve, automate, and deliver Class 4 and 5 IETM formatted
projects from your workstation or personal computer. AIMSS is
Windows®-based software. Its graphical authoring environment
requires no programming skills.
The robust object-oriented AIMSS has the power and capacity
to manage and maintain data for multiple systems. Its enhanced
import/export capabilities efficiently import legacy data, and
graphic compression and database |
move/copy features allow easy
data manipulation. AIMSS supports a full complement of dialogs
and processes that can be embedded in interactive procedures
as hypertext and graphic "hot spots" to provide rapid
access to related information in the database.
One of the most powerful features of AIMSS is its fault-isolation
capability. Troubleshooting information is presented step-by-step,
as in a traditional fault-logic diagram. Each step has detailed
instructions and a question that requires a yes/no or typed
response. Using these answers and mathematical operations, AIMSS
leads you directly to the next appropriate step. Troubleshooting
is further simplified by a dynamic data exchange protocol that
allows AIMSS to initiate a diagnostic test, receive the result,
and automatically navigate to the appropriate troubleshooting
information. To further assist you with problem resolution,
AIMSS can directly link to job aids and computer-based training,
allowing you to practice difficult tasks before performing them
on your systems. Learn More>> |
